Refers less to a time time period and more to a critiquing of a though and the process of decolonisation

He suggests Britain has still not faced up to its colonial past and this resulted in desire to still subjugate from different races

We identify someone being different or an alien to society

The othering can sometimes manifest into confusion over identity the confusion is known as double consciousness

The idea that some races are superior to other ones
