1) I think this film was aimed at teenagers and young adults and this is very typical to the genre

1) Prison break contains several intertextual references like the great escape as these highlight the theme of prison and the struggle for freedom 

2) For genre prison break resemble breaking bad as they are both crime, thrillers

4) major differences is prison break is surrounded around a whole escape plan when breaking bad goes deeper into the transformation of the main character
